Pot-focused firm and greenhouse lessor CROP Infrastructure Corp. (CSE:CROP, CSE:CROP.CN, OTCMKTS:CRXPF) said its Californian tenant had received lab results on its first crop - and it passed all tests for microbial impurities and had no detectable pesticides.

The first sample of dried BOSS OG Cannabis flower was submitted to Humboldt Quality Assurance lab for analysis on August 27 this year.

The third greenhouse crop has now been harvested and is drying. The company is also awaiting construction permits to build out 12 propriety light supplemented greenhouses totalling 44,000 sq ft.

"CROP's tenant has strictly adhered to the CROP SAFE gold standard for organic cannabis cultivation practices," said Michael Yorke, the firm's director and chief executive.

"CROP SAFE utilises only natural ingredients for its fertilisers and pest control. Once CROP completes its greenhouse complex we can anticipate considerably increased production from this tenanted facility."

Emerald Triangle

Last month, Crop said it had increased its ownership to 49% from 30% at its "Emerald Triangle" cannabis production facility, which is tenanted by "Hempire" in Humboldt California,  and where harvesting had begun at the first of five 2,000 sq ft greenhouses.

Yesterday, Crop shares fizzed higher as it revealed a move into the potentially exciting world of cannabis-infused drinks.

The company revealed that it was developing a new cannabis-infused line of soft drinks, which will offer a new kind of nutritional content.

The soda will be named 'CANNADRINK' and will be a zero calorie, non-GMO, ketogenic-friendly line. It will include a tea and coffee version.

Crop highlighted that the global carbonated soft drinks market is projected to reach US$ 605.6bn by 2025, according to a report in March this year by Grand View Research Inc.
