Newrange Gold says drilling has resumed at Pamlico and it is in discussions to extend the IP coverage across the property

Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCMKTS:NRGOF) (FRA:X6C) reported that ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling in the Gold Box Canyon, Merritt, and Good Hope Mine areas at its Pamlico gold project in Nevada has revealed shallow oxide gold mineralization that covers an area of approximately 0.75 square kilometers across the Pamlico District.

The company noted that the current drill results, which included 3.05 meters averaging 4.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold together with all its previous drilling and underground sampling, continue to indicate that oxide gold mineralization at Pamlico occurs in a large, near surface, shallow-dipping to nearly flat, laterally-extensive structural zone.

Newrange Gold said drilling at the Gold Box Canyon area indicate that a relatively flat-lying zone of gold mineralization exists near surface, and while these intercepts average approximately 0.1 g/t gold they are above 50 meters depth and require follow-up drilling to further test the continuity of the mineralization.

The company added that drilling in the Merritt zone continues to expand and confirm gold mineralization peripheral to its 2017 drill holes.

And, while underground sampling by Newrange in the area of the Good Hope Mine in 2019 and 2020 demonstrated good lateral continuity of gold mineralization, Newrange said current drilling has now confirmed that gold mineralization ther is shallow and locally outcrops while still open to the northwest, northeast and southeast.

It added that drilled mineralization in the Good Hope Mine is more than 1.5 kilometers in distant from the approximate center of the Line 5 anomaly.

Newrange also announced that drilling has resumed following the holiday break and is following up on the interpreted intrusive-related gold mineralization intersected in hole P20-91.

As well, the company said it is in discussions with a geophysical contractor to extend the IP coverage across the property, which it believes will not only outline the extent of the large anomaly currently interpreted to be related to gold mineralization, but should also detect any skarn-type mineralization on the property, particularly in the southeastern area where skarn alteration has been observed.

Newrange Gold's flagship Pamlico project covers 2,548 hectares and also encompasses a past gold producing area (with old mine workings) but has been unexplored and in private hands (three families) since 1896 so it has seen almost no modern exploration techniques.
