Big picture - Why invest in Noram Ventures

Noram Ventures Snapshot

Noram Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: NRM / OTCBB US: NRVTF / Frankfurt GR: N7R) is a Canadian based junior exploration company with a goal of becoming a force in the Green Energy Revolution through the development of lithium and graphite deposits and becoming a low-cost supplier for the burgeoning lithium-ion battery industry. The Company’s primary business focus since formation has been the exploration of mineral properties that include the Clayton Valley lithium project in Nevada, the Hector Lode lithium project in San Bernardino County, California and the Jumbo flake-graphite project in southeastern British Columbia. Noram’s long term strategy is to build a multinational industrial minerals company to produce and sell lithium and graphite products into the markets of North America, Europe and Asia.

CLAYTON VALLEY LITHIUM PROJECT

Noram is one the largest direct holders of lithium claims in Nevada's Clayton Valley and the perimeter of its claims is within 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) of Albemarle's Silver Peak lithium operation, which has been in production since 1967 and is North America's only producer of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide from brines.

Noram's land package is located in the heart of the Clayton Valley and includes a total of 888 claims covering 17,738 acres (7,718 hectares) in two non-contiguous claim blocks (see map below or click here). The lithium potential is contained within claystones (sediments), beds and brines on the claim blocks, which are positioned both north and southeast of Albemarle’s operation that produces lithium from brines that are pumped to surface from beneath the Clayton Valley playa, concentrated through evaporation and the resulting salts are then processed to extract the lithium.

Project Highlights:

  • Analytical results from the first 20 drill holes (see map) of the Phase 1 drilling program completed on the Zeus Claims  delivered the highest lithium values to date on the project and sample results are pending for the remaining 26 holes.
  • The median lithium value in the first and second batch of drill core samples also exceeds the average lithium value of the previously reported surface samples (below) by 64% and 57%, respectively.”
  • Exploration has also confirmed high levels of lithium in sediments on the central area of the Hades claims.
  • Noram's North Block is adjacent to Lithium X’s North block (initial drilling in progress*).
  • Between Albemarle's Silver Peak operation and Noram's South Block lie Pure Energy’s claims that host a NI 43-101 Inferred Resource of 816,000 tonnes lithium carbonate equivalent.**
  • Qualified Person has completed a NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Project.
  • Surface and sub-surface grab samples taken on the Zeus claims in 2016 returned lithium values ranged from 74 ppm to 1,670 ppm and averaged 621 ppm lithium over 77 samples.
  • Bench testing is underway to substantiate recovery of lithium carbonate directly from Zeus & Hades sediment samples.
  • Mining-friendly jurisdiction and close to infrastructure (power, transport and labor).
  • Qualified Person has completed a NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Project.

HECTOR LODE LITHIUM PROJECT

Noram recently acquired 116 lithium mineral claims comprising 2,320 acres in San Bernardino County, California. The claims are located in the same geological formation as the Hector Bentonite Mine No. 1.

Project Overview:

The project is situated in the southern Mojave Desert, 35 miles (56 km) southeast of the city of Barstow in San Bernardino County, California; and Interstate Highway 40 runs through the southern portion of the claim group. The area of interest has seen a long history of mining for bentonite clays dating back to 1931. The sedimentary sequence at the Hector Mine can be seen in outcrop to the north on the Hector Lode Claims. Initial surface sampling has been completed (see October 19, 2016 news release) and based on the results a more extensive sampling and geological mapping program is recommended to understand and expand on these initial results, and define which areas contain the highest lithium values.

Historical Analyses:

Two references were found in the literature which provided analyses of the Hector clays. One was Ames, et al (1958) which yielded a Li2O value of 1.14% from the Hector Mine area. The other reference was Foshag and Woodward (1936) which gave Li2O values of 1.12% and 0.60%, also from the Mine area. These analyses are both from the southern area of the claim group.

Highlights:

Proven presence of lithium in Hectorite clays;
Published reports indicate lithium values greater than 1% Li2O (10,000 ppm);
Material is currently being mined on adjacent ground as bentonite/hectorite clays;
Close to infrastructure (power, transportation and labor);
Stable political environment;
Surface sampling results confirm lithium in the mineralizing system as documented in historical reports;
Geological mapping and sampling has provided a much clearer direction leading up to the Phase l core drilling program.

Noram’s President Mark Ireton said, “This acquisition adds to our large land position in the Clayton Valley and will provide additional high-grade lithium production opportunities, near term. With lithium prices having risen significantly since 2015 and demand for lithium and graphite expected to continue to expand, Noram is well positioned to play a significant role in the Green Energy Revolution. Our focus is not only on finding and developing lithium and graphite deposits, but also on sourcing and supporting new, environmentally-friendly, processing techniques to produce our lithium and graphite products.”
