Thor Explorations Ltd is a gold exploration company with a focus on early stage gold exploration projects located in highly prospective underexplored regions of West Africa.
Thor Explorations ("Thor") aims to increase its shareholder value through the development of its prospective exploration and development portfolio which were acquired through a continued selection of high quality projects.
Focusing on West Africa, Thor evaluates existing and under-explored highly prospective geological regions of West Africa, seeking to access opportunities early on in the exploration value chain.
Thor has a highly prospective land package in the geologically renowned Birimian Greenstone belts of West Africa. The company's assets are diversified by country and by stage of development.
Thor is currently present in the West African Jurisdictions of Senegal and Burkina Faso, each of with have progressive mining codes, and Nigeria, where it aims to benefit from its first mover advantage.
The acquisition of the Segilola Gold project was transformational for Thor and provides an excellent platform to transform Thor to a developer whilst providing further upside potential from its existing exploration portfolio.
Since the acquisition of the Segilola Project, Thor has carried out a 4,100 metre diamond drilling program. As a result, Thor announced positive results for its Independent Preliminary Feasibility Study (“PFS”) and Maiden Probable Reserve. Details can be found under the “Projects” Section.
Thor is currently developing and exploring three West African projects located in Nigeria, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
The Segilola Gold Project. The Company believes that the Segilola Gold Project, which is located in Osun State of Nigeria, approximately 120km northeast of Lagos, is the most advanced gold exploration project in Nigeria. The property comprises mining license ML41 and exploration license EL19066. ML41 covers an area of (17.2km2; 1,720ha) and is wholly contained within the larger EL19066 covering an area of 135 Cadastral Units (27.0km2; 2,700ha).
The Douta Project is located in the south east region of Senegal within the Kéniéba inlier, proximal to the Main Transcurrent Shear Zone. This is considered to control the Sadiola Deposit in the North, and the Massawa Deposit to the centre - within 5km of the Douta Project.
The Central Houndé Project consists of three continguous permits located within the Houndé belt, 260km south-west of the capital Ouagadougou, in western Burkina Faso. The Houndé belt is highly prospective and hosts approximately 10Moz of gold discoveries. Thor's Central Houndé Project is surrounded by established projects being developed by established explorers including Orezone Inc., SEMAFO, Acacia Mining Plc and Sarama Resources Ltd.

Chief Executive Officer, President and Director
Segun has been the CEO of Thor since August 2011. He has identified and lead all of Thor’s acquisitions and financings and Thor’s JV with Acacia Mining.
He is a Co- founder of African Star Resources Incorporated where he served as an officer assisting with financing, corporate and business development activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College (UK) with Honours in Geology, and has an MBA from Cass Business School. Mr Lawson had extensive transaction experience at Noble Company, in the Oil and Gas corporate finance areas, and also experience at Premier Oil in identifying and negotiating new West African opportunities.
Segun is a British Nigerian citizen and has a strong network of contacts both in the UK and in West Africa.

Mr Hodges is a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant with 20 years experience in both the accounting profession and in the natural resources sector where he has had fourteen years experience in both mining and oil and gas, working as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Zeta Petroleum plc, an ASX listed oil & gas company, and previously serving as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Atlantic Coal, a former AIM listed coal mining company.
ALFRED GILLMAN, (FAUSIMM)

Mr Gillman has a BSc (Honours) from the University of Western Australia, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM)Chartered Professional (Geology). He has a successful track record in senior management and Board roles across gold, base metals, uranium and industrial mineral exploration. He was the Group Exploration Manager of the major gold mining company, Harmony Gold where he led the development of several major gold projects in Australia and Papua New Guinea. More recently, he has consulted to the resources industry through his wholly owned business Odessa Resources Pty Ltd and as gained extensive experience in the United States, Africa, Turkey, Central Asia, South America, Indonesia, China and Russia. Alf has worked in Nigeria and previously on the Segilola Gold Project. He is currently also a Director of Billabong Gold Pty Ltd and advisor to Superior Gold Inc.

Mr Philip is a highly experienced mining finance executive with 15 years’ experience in a broad range of international advisory and financing transactions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Most recently Mr Philip was an Executive Director in Standard Chartered Bank’s mining & metals division where he completed over 30 major transactions including mergers & acquisitions, financings across the capital structure, hedging strategies and restructurings with a combined value of over USD20bn. Mr Philip holds a Master’s degree in Earth Resources & Environmental Engineering from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London.
Environmental and Social Manager
Ms Porteus has over 30 years’ experience in large scale mining, infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, agribusiness, industrial, poverty reduction and urban development projects with the private sector and development finance institutions. She has expertise in environment and social management plans, internationally compliant ESIAs, Resettlement Action Plans, stakeholder engagement plans and urban development projects.
