Verde’s products are derived from an ancient 570 million years old rock named “glauconitic siltstone”, rich in a mineral called glauconite. The production process is 100% natural.
Verde’s first product is Super Greensand® a multi-nutrient fertilizer that has been studied since 2009 by the Company in partnership with specialists in Brazil and abroad. Super Greensand® contains potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, totaling 68 minerals and trace elements to improve chemical, physical and biological conditions of the soil. The product is approved for organic production by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). Super Greensand® is commercialized in Brazil as K Forte. Product is an alternative to Potassium Chloride (KCl), which is a widely used fertilizer by Brazilian farmers. Compared to KCI, which is not the most suitable product for tropical agriculture, K Forte has great advantages:
K Forte is an alternative that may allow Brazil to decrease its dependence on potassium imports and is a more sustainable and appropriate fertilizer for tropical soils.

Cristiano Veloso holds a Business Management degree from the Management Training Technical School of SEBRAE, an LLB from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a Masters in International Business Law from the University of East Anglia, UK. Mr. Veloso founded Verde in 2005 and has since led the Company’s development. Mr. Veloso’s 15 years of experience includes working for Banco do Brasil and CEMIG, a leading South American energy and gas company. Mr. Veloso is also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors.
Alysson Paolinelli has had a distinguished career dedicated to the Brazilian agricultural sector including his current appointment as the President of the Brazilian Association of Corn Producers. He has held positions such as the Brazilian Minister of Agriculture, the President of the National Confederation of Agriculture, and the Secretary of Agriculture for Minas Gerais State. In 2006, he was awarded the World Food Prize. Dr. Paolinelli was instrumental in realizing the potential of the Cerrado to mark Brazil as one of the world’s great breadbaskets. As the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Paolinelli established the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), the world’s leading tropical agriculture research institution.
Renato Gomes is a lawyer with international corporate, financial and mining experience, having worked at Gerson Boson, Gambogi & Alkmim Attorneys, the United Nations, Roschier Attorneys and at the University of Georgetown. Mr. Gomes holds an LL.B. from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), an LL.M. from the London School of Economics, UK, and a PhD from Georgetown University, USA. Mr. Gomes is currently President and CEO of Atlantica Mining, which operate iron ore projects in Brazil. He is also a director of the ABCI Institute (Brazilian International Trade Scholars) and a member of the Bar in Brazil, Portugal and New York State, USA.
Michael St Aldwyn
Michael St Aldwyn holds a Master’s degree at King’s College London in “Brazil in Global Perspective”. He is an executive with strong connections with global investment markets and with long track record in Latin America. Michael served as Chairman of the Anglo-Brazilian Society from 1996-2002 and as a Director of BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust from 1996-2017. He is currently Chairman of Itacaré Capital Investment Ltd.
Getulio Lamartine holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is a senior economist with over 40 years of government and consulting experience in the Brazilian resource, electrical and power generation sectors, having served as Deputy Minister of the Environment (Brazil) in 1994. Since 1990, Mr. Fonseca has been a partner of GL Consultoria Ltda and in that role, Mr. Fonseca has assisted businesses such as Bank of Montréal, Samarco Mineração S.A., Klabin S.A., Alcoa Inc., KLM Aerocarto B.V., Construtora Norberto Odebrecht S.A., Acesita S.A. and Dow Corning Corporation with major projects in Brazil. Mr. Lamartine has served as the Vice-Minister of Environment, General Director of the National Department of Energy and Water Supply (DNAE), Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Brazilian Trade and Industry and Deputy Secretary of Industry of Minas Gerais, Trade and Tourism Department.
Paulo Sergio Ribeiro Machado
Mr. Machado is a former executive at Vale and has spent his career developing and operating large mining projects. From 1988 to 2002, Mr. Machado was the General Manager of Vale’s Igarapé Bahia Gold Mine, at the time the largest gold producer in Latin America, where he was responsible for implementation, operation and decommissioning. Between 2002 and 2006 Mr. Machado was the Director for all iron ore mines in the central region of Minas Gerais state, overseeing management and operations of mining activities, plants and railway terminals. Mr. Machado holds degrees in Mining Engineering and Geology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and was a member of the Board of Directors of CEMIG, one of the largest and most important electric energy utilities in Brazil .
Tim Slater is the Managing Director of Harmer Slater Chartered Accountants in the UK, and has been involved in the preparation of all of the Company’s financial statements and audit materials since 2007. Mr. Slater acts as Finance Director for a range of companies in the UK.
Rodrigo MacLeod holds a Master degree in Plant Protection from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). He focus his work on the research of new agro-technological products on plant protection and nutrition and has already conducted thousands of experiments in Brazil with the largest agricultural producers and main research centers, such as EMBRAPA.
Marina Fernandes holds a degree in Management Processes by UNA. She acts directly in prospecting clients and maintains relationships with existing clients. Marina also participates in studies to introduce new products in the market, and accompanies the logistics to the implementation of agronomic trials and receipt of reports.
Larissa Albuquerque is postgraduate in Marketing from IBMEC-MG. She participates on the creation and execution of strategic and market planning, content production, competition analysis and monitoring, product development, customer relationship management and brand image management.
Débora Moreira is currently a PhD candidate in Economic and Applied Geology by IGC/UFMG. She holds a Master degree in Economic and Applied Geology by the postgraduate program of IGC/UFMG. Débora works in the area of mining projects, with emphasis on exploration of nonmetallic deposits and industrial minerals.
Edson Rodrigues is a Mining expert by CEFET-GO. He has nine years of experience on the mining segment, performing functions such as preparation and description of samples, monitoring ore processing, geological mapping, coordination and execution of fieldwork.
