There was lithium news from Nevada today as Advantage Lithium Corp (CVE: AAL) and Nevada Sunrise Gold Corporation (CVE:NEV) updated on their 2016-17 drill program, now complete.

At the Clayton Northeast property (Clayton NE) in Clayton Valley, Nevada Sunrise is the project manager on behalf of Advantage Lithium, which is the operator.

The pair revealed that their final two holes had hit lithium in brine of up to 238 milligrams (mg) per litre.

Significantly, all six holes from the 2016-2017 program hit lithium-bearing brines in typical Clayton Valley aquifer systems.

The phase 2, 2017 program comprised of 1.39mln metres, or 4,560 feet in three RC (reverse circulation) holes and used a similar approach to the Phase 1 program that hit wide intercepts of lithium-bearing brine with strong brine flow rate.

The pair also saw positive results from the three Phase 1 boreholes drilled in 2016 and the first borehole of the Phase 2 program, hole CNE-17-04, which delivered the best results to date at Clayton NE, with a total composite of 426.72 metres of 243.44 mg/l lithium in brines.

Shares in Advantage Lithium Corp were unchanged at $0.58, while Nevada Sunrise Gold added 1.64% to stand at $0.241 a share.
