J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ:JBHT) said first-quarter profit rose 15% on customer rate increases and higher load volumes.

Net income climbed to US$118.1mln, or US$1.07 per share, from US$102.7mln, or US$0.92 a share, a year earlier, the trucking company said in a statement. That met Thomson Reuters’s estimates per share of US$1.07.

The stock fell 1.2% to US$112.77 in pre-market trading.
