OTCMarkets were mixed this afternoon, with the OTXQX and the OTCQB Venture exchanges rising slightly. Several companies announced private financings today.
General Cannabis Corp (OTCMKTS:CANN) had a not-so-happy 4/20 after its shares fell 8% in early trading and nearly 9% by the afternoon. The Denver-based cannabis company issued $5.5 million in senior secured promissory notes.
PyroGenesis Canada Inc (OTMKTS:PYRNF) , a Montreal-based company specializing in plasma waste-to-energy systems, secured a private placement of $1.8 billion. The company developed a system capable of recovering valuable metals from the waste streams. Shares of the company fell almost 6% in afternoon trading.
IsoEnergy Ltd (OTCMKTS:ISENF), a Canadian uranium company, secured a private placement as well, totaling to $2.1 million. The proceeds will be used to continue uranium exploration in Saskatchewan. Shares were down slightly in morning and afternoon trading.
Cypress Development Corp (OTCMKTS:CYDVF) was welcomed to the OTC today. The company’s shares jumped 9.5% percent on its first day of trading. The exploration company owns a lithium project in Nevada’s Clayton Valley. It is the only lithium brine operation in North America.
