Fortuna Silver Mines lifts stake in Prospero Silver Corp

Both firms are silver companies

Fortuna Silver Mines (TSE:FVI) has lifted its holding in Prospero Silver Corp (CVE:PSL) and now owns 26.9% of the shares.

The group acquired over 4.7mln shares for C$356,000 on September 17 this year.

Prior to this, Fortuna held around 10.7mln shares of Prospero, which represented 22.8% of the shares.

Shares were acquired by Fortuna for investment purposes, the company said.

Fortuna's main assets are the Caylloma silver mine in southern Peru, the San Jose silver-gold mine in Mexico and the Lindero gold project in Argentina.
