LithiumOre cites progress in identifying technology for its battery metals extraction division

LithiumOre is focusing on locating the world’s most advanced and cost-effective lithium extraction technology

LithiumOre Corp said Thursday that it has made significant progress in identifying technology for its new battery metals extraction division.

The Incline Village, Nevada-based unit of Oroplata Resources Inc (OTCMKTS:ORRP) said in a release that Dr Krishna Sharma, recently appointed to LithiumOre’s advisory board, is focusing on locating the world’s most advanced and cost-effective lithium extraction technology.

Sharma is a co-founder of Sea2K, a research and development company that develops metal extraction and purification technologies from industrial waste-water and effluents. Sea2K developed an extraction technology to recover potassium carbonate from seawater and distillery plants.

Previously, Sharma spent five years at Simbol Materials as its lead scientist, designing and developing various extraction processes for the recovery of lithium, manganese, zinc and potassium from geothermal brines.

LithiumOre holds 1,300 accepted lithium mineral claims, totaling 26,000 acres, in Nye County, Nevada’s Railroad Valley.

Shares of Oroplata climbed US$0.01 to US$0.22 on Thursday’s OTC Markets.

Last month, the stock was rated a Buy by New York-based Riedel Research Group.
