'Our cost-effective market and the tools we provide to our issuers really opens up the global investment universe to US investors,’ says Jason Paltrowitz, EVP of corporate services, at the OTC Markets Group

OTC Markets Group Inc (OTCQX:OTCM) said that executives of rapidly growing energy, metals and mining companies will brief investors at the virtual OTCQX Resources Conference next month on their property positions and development schedules, providing a rare glimpse into market opportunities.

The online OTCQX Resources Conference on May 9, is part and parcel of the Virtual Investor Conferences (VIC) series, which belongs to the OTC Market Group’s suite of investor access services.

Instead of schmoozing in long drawn-out conferences, taking expensive flights and away-days, the VIC platform relies on the internet to gather people in one place, and acts as the glue that keeps companies and investor networks together.

“In America, you have a lot of retail investors, and family offices willing to punt on venture companies or early-stage companies,” Jason Paltrowitz, executive vice president of corporate services, at the OTC Markets Group, told Proactive Investors.

The OTC Markets Group Inc (OTCQX:OTCM) operates the OTCQX Best Market, the OTCQB Venture Market and the Pink Open Market for 10,000 US and global securities.

Cost-effective investor access tool

“The way the investment world has worked in the last decade is that large-cap and mega-cap companies get all the attention of the investment banks, and the small and mid-cap companies find it harder and harder to get out there,” said Paltrowitz. “At the same time, investors interested in small and mid-caps find it harder to get good quality information. So, we bring the two entities together: allow a company to tell its story the right way, and investors can access it in a way they couldn’t earlier.”

Paltrowitz explained that the VIC platform gives “mom-and-pops, family offices, second, third, fourth-tier institutional funds” access to a diverse, and broad group of companies.

At least 13 firms will present their company’s story, live, during the virtual upcoming OTCQX Resources Conference on May 9.

“We are approaching the 15-company limit that we put on ourselves,” said Paltrowitz. “We have mostly cross-listed Canadian companies, as well as American companies ranging from Nano caps to small-cap companies participating in the event. They are all in resources, from oil and gas, shale, uranium, to other metals.”

Through the VIC platform, investors will be able to interact directly with executives and participants through the live online webcast presentation and access materials and annual reports, investor kits, surveys and other investor materials from a virtual "exhibit hall."

Delivering presentations will be:

• Willard McAndrew, CEO of Amazing Energy Oil and Gas Co (OTCQX:AMAZ)

• Claude Lemasson, CEO of Eastmain Resources Inc (OTCQX:EANRF) (TSX:ER)

• Egizio Bianchini, Executive Vice Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd (OTCQX:IVPAF)(TSX:IVN)

            • Minaurum Gold Inc (OTCQX:MMRGF) (TSX-V:MGG)

            • Rubicon Minerals Corp (OTCQX:RBYCF) (TSX:RMX)

            • Fission Uranium Corp (OTCQX:FCUUF) (TSX:FCU)

            • Lumina Gold Corp (OTCQX:LMGDF) (TSX-V:LUM)

            • Skeena Resources Ltd (OTCQX:SKREF) (TSX-V:SKE)

            • Constantine Metal Resources Ltd (OTCQX:CNSNF) (TSX-V:CEM)

            • First Mining Gold Corp (OTCQX:FFMGF) (TSX:FF

            • PetroShale Inc (OTCQX:PSHIF) (TSX-V:PSH)

            • Ascot Resources Ltd (OTCQX:AOTVF) (TSX-V:AOT)

            • NioCorp Developments Ltd (OTCQX:NIOBF) (TSX:NB)

“What is unique about us is that we give even small-cap companies abroad the ability to trade in the US,” said Paltrowitz. “The Virtual Investor Conference just complements it because now it gives the company the opportunity to tell their story to that US audience. Our market and the tools that we provide to our issuers really do open up the global investment universe to US investors.”

Participating companies say the VIC platform helps them build investor networks.

"Historically, I have had great success doing the Virtual Investor Conference. It allows me to reach a new audience and broaden our shareholder base," said Amazing Energy Oil and Gas CEO Willard G McAndrew. "I will be sharing the three-year business plan of the company, our next steps on the development of existing properties and potential acquisition strategies."

How it works

Virtual Investor Conferences events comes with all the bells and whistles one might find at a physical event:

• An auditorium for viewing live and scheduled presentations and Q&A sessions with speakers and investors

• An exhibition hall for interactive chats with senior executives and management, and watching pre-recorded material, and to download annual reports, investor kits, surveys and other information about new products

Investors can listen to energy, metals and mining CEOs discuss their development schedules, and investment highlights by logging onto the the OTCQX Resources Conference.
