Minera Alamos Inc (TSE:MAI) is bolstering its mine operations team as it prepares to construct facilities at its Santana Gold Project in Sonora, Mexico.
The company appointed Carolina Sales vice president of technical services. She has worked with the miner’s senior management group at its previous Mexican gold operations.
Before joining Minera Alamos, Sales worked as a senior account manager for Outotec, a mining equipment supplier in Mexico. She brings nearly 15 years of mining experience to the table.

"We are excited to welcome Carolina back to our team," CEO Darren Koningen said. "Her broad project experience at all stages of project advancement from initial process development through construction and into final operations will prove invaluable as we make our final plans to move the company's Santana and La Fortuna gold projects into commercial production.”
Sales will split time between the company’s operations in Sonora and Durango.
Minera Alamos is a Canadian exploration and development company with a porfolio of Mexican assets in Sonora, Durango and Sinaloa.
Its share price remained unchanged at $0.10.
