Enertopia Corporation (CSE:TOP) (OTCMKTS:ENRT) has unveiled more positive results from testing of material from its Clayton Valley project in Nevada, where it hopes to extract lithium.
It follows last month's results from the company's in-house testing that showed the potential to process less material at a higher lithium grade, so saving processing costs.
The Kelowna, BC-based company continues to run tests on grain sizing and lithium grades per grain sizing, pre-strip and reagent testing on impurity levels from drilled horizons at the project.
On Friday, shares in New York added over 20% to $0.023. In Toronto, they were unchanged at $0.025.

The latest tests appear to show that pre-stripping impurities from the material could be a viable option before creating a synthetic lithium brine as the potential loss of lithium was below detection limits in all tests carried out, it said.
Enertopia said that in the light of the success of these pre-strip tests and sorting results, it has now decided to extend pre-sorting testing and has ordered sorting test equipment that will reduce the dry and wet grain size sorting down to 5 um (micrometer) and 1 um, respectively.
"The testing equipment is expected to arrive around mid-June. After which time dry and wet sorting tests will be conducted followed by pre-stripping and finally updated Li solution testing," the company said in a statement.
Major sources of production?
The firm reckons the lithium-hosted claystone deposits in Nevada could become major sources of production in the next decade and offer the USA a secure domestic supply of battery grade Lithium products.
"Our ongoing solution testing of the drilled lithium horizons continues to provide great insights and novel ways to strive for a low-cost mining and processing solution to unlock the potential value of the Lithium enriched claystone,” said Enertopia CEO Robert McAllister.
Notably, the firm also said in today's statement that its technical advisors believe the testing to date may warrant patent protection, thus the firm is keeping all internal data strictly confidential at this time.
It has signed several NDA’s (non-disclosure agreements) with industry partners as it works to reach its goal of a low capex solution to battery grade lithium production, it said.
