Mixed messages on global markets for commodities investors

Mining Capital's Alastair Ford says it's an interesting time in the markets with the dollar weakening and the price of gold strengthening.

''There's a very strong trend for a weakening gold price and a stronger dollar but in the last couple of days we've seen a slight reversal of that trend and I think that the markets are showing some signs of uncertainty ahead of the US mid-terms''

Ford also discusses the outlook for copper and in particular for the likes of Asiamet (LON:ARS), Central Asia Metals (LON:CAML) and Rambler Metals and Mining (LON:RMM) plus he touches on Bushveld Minerals' (LON:BMN) decision to increase its stake in the Vametco Mine.
