Verde’s CEO urges oil giant Shell to fight climate change

Fertilizer group Verde Agritech PLC (TSE:NPK, OTCQB:AMHPF) produces a chloride-free product used to protect sugar cane crops and founder Cristiano Veloso is passionate about it one day completely replacing current methods. While admitting traditional sugar cane fertiliser use is both legal and sanctioned by the Brazilian government, Veloso tells Proactive London how the appetite for a greener, more environmentally-friendly fertiliser is growing, particularly in his home country, Brazil. Veloso hopes to change hearts and minds and put a stop to 'out of date' pesticide practice, making the case for Verde Agritech's chloride-free alternative and encouraging large scale users like oil-giant Shell (which derives ethanol from sugar cane) to make the switch and fight climate change by improving crop nutrition.
