The invitation-only network connects public and private cannabis companies with traders and institutional investors, giving cannabis companies a place to pitch their stories to investors using a virtual conference platform.
The site was created by MjLink’s MjMicro division, which is responsible for putting on the MjMicro Conferences, a series of in-person events that bring together cannabis executives and interested investors.
All members approved to join MjInvest will also receive free access to future conferences. The next MjMicro event will be held on October 16 at the Sofitel Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
“Today’s official launch of our cannabis investor network marks a huge milestone in the rapidly changing landscape of the cannabis industry," MjMicro President Todd Markey said in a statement.
“Investors in the industry just a few years ago had only a handful of public companies to research and invest in, but this year there will be an estimated 470 public companies alone that are looking for access capital and exposure to the investment community."
In addition to its cannabis division MjLink, Social Life Network operates niche social networks in the real estate, hunting and fishing, and other industries.
Its stock was flat midday Monday at US$0.14 on OTC Markets.
