The pair join the company with immediate effect and it is expected that they will be added to the board of directors in due course.
Mele-Cornish joins from offshore industry group Oil & Gas UK and has previously worked for private-equity backed Oyster Petroleum.
Rycroft is promoted to the role of COO having been Solo’s acting general manager, helping the board deliver its strategic objective including portfolio rationalisation and business development.
Executive chairman Alastair Ferguson described them as “high-quality appointments.”
“Romina's varied industry background lends itself perfectly to our current juncture in terms of corporate finance and M&A experience, and the expertise garnered through her role with Oil & Gas UK will serve us well as we seek to execute transformational growth in line with our stated objectives,” Ferguson said.
