GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCMKTS:SWISF) told investors Monday that it is on track to complete training of sales employees and distributors at Telcel in Mexico City, a division of the global telecoms giant America Movil, by the end of October.
The Vancouver-based data security company also said that it has held high-level discussions with Telcel’s senior executives and initiated the approval of sales quotas on Telcel’s Region 9 corporate department, which comprises over 21 million people throughout greater Mexico City.

The consumer-end training consists of an average of 12 to 15 salespeople in each of the 50 Telcel stores selected in Mexico City, making a total of over 700 salespeople. The firm is also doing corporate-end training that consists of about 200 sales executives and their managers.
"We are very happy with the decision of Telcel's executives and the roll out plan for 2019/2020,” GlobeX’s CEO Alain Ghiai said in a statement.
“We expect Telcel's distributors to start sales aggressively in Q1 2020 as we have received very positive feedback from them.”
Telcel told GlobeX that commercial release and training authorization for Region 1 to 8 was released, meaning that GlobeX’s lead product DigitalSafe can now be sold nationally throughout Mexico.
The telecom firm’s distributors will be able to begin selling DigitalSafe to its clients once training is completed, which is expected to be by November 30, 2019.
GlobeX expects sales to start no later than January 2020.
“There is a large need for security services such as DigitalSafe,” GlobeX’s Ghiai told investors.
“There is no unified solution offering the range of features, and level of security and privacy that DigitalSafe offers, and we are very happy to fill that void in Mexico.”
