LiteLink Technologies Inc (CSE:LLT) (OTCMKTS:LLNKF), the Canadian maker of shipment tracking software, has kicked off a trial contract with Easterday Farms Produce Company that will allow the company to road-test its 1SHIFT Logistics platform for rail freight transports.
According to the agreement, LiteLink will offer Easterday Farms – a US farming company – the chance to test its 1SHIFT Logistics platform for a 45-day trial – which is designed to evaluate its ability to track and trace moisture and temperature for produce transports over long distances via solar-powered sensors.

LiteLink’s 1SHIFT Logistics platform is likely to be useful for Easterday as the farm boasts 25,000 acres of potatoes, onions, corn and wheat in Washington state’s Columbia River basin, as well as a repacking and distribution facility in northern Florida.
“We are very excited to enter the rail freight transportation industry through a commercial trial agreement with Easterday Farms, a highly-regarded farming company with a huge presence in the US product industry,” said LiteLink CEO Ashik Karim in a statement.
The aim of the 1SHIFT Logistics platform is to provide farmers and producers with the ability to deliver products quickly by monitoring temperatures and moisture levels in real-time.
In addition to the software platform 1SHIFT Logistics, the Burnaby, British Columbia company also owns uBuck Technologies, a subsidiary that is revolutionizing payment in the shipping industry.
