Full interview: Alkane reflects on 2019’s key moments

Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK) managing director Nic Earner speaks to Proactive about the company’s achievements in 2019 as the year comes to a close. 

Earner highlighted the renewed interest in specialty metals back in April–May 2019 before the Boda gold-copper discovery was made in September, at which an intersection of more than 500 metres at 0.48 g/t gold and 0.2% copper was returned. 

“Clearly a porphyry and very significant – it excited the market,” he said. “It’s been quite a while since a tier-one prospect in Australia has arrived.” 

The company has also received strong gold results from regional exploration at the operating Tomingley Gold Project and expects further results in late January 2020.
