Zacks Small-Cap Research is upping its price target on NexTech AR Solutions Corp (CSE:NTAR) (OTCMKTS:NEXCF) to US$1.70 after the company said Tuesday it is on track to deliver record quarterly revenues. The Toronto-based tech company said it brought in more than C$2.5 million in revenue during its fiscal fourth quarter, 44 times more than the same quarter last year, while gross profit clocked in at C$1.3 million. Shares of NexTech rose 2.8% over the counter at US$1.49 on Wednesday and 4.8% higher in Canada at C$1.95.

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp (NASDAQ:TNXP) CEO Dr Seth Lederman will present and conduct investor meetings at Biotech Showcase 2020 to be held January 13-15 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. His presentation is scheduled for January 14 at 10 am PST in room Franciscan A. Also, a live webcast and archived recording of the company presentation will be available under the IR Events tab of the Investors section of the company’s website at www.tonixpharma.com. The New York City-based company’s lead product candidate TNX-102 SL is in development for posttraumatic stress disorder, fibromyalgia, agitation in Alzheimer’s disease and alcohol use disorder.

Berkwood Resources Ltd (CVE:BKR) has closed its private placement offering of 5,172,000 units subscribed at a price of $0.02.5 cents per unit for gross proceeds of $129,300. Each unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant. Each full warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share at a price of $0.05 cents per share for a period of 24 months. The company intends to use the money for general corporate expenses. The Vancouver-based company is developing a high-grade graphite deposit in Quebec.

Biocept Inc (NASDAQ:BIOC), a developer of liquid biopsy tests that detect and isolate cancer biomarkers, announced Wednesday that it has been awarded a US Patent for its technology. Investors cheered the patent award, sending the stock up nearly 20% to $0.44 a share in New York. The newly issued patent -- DEVICES AND METHODS OF CELL CAPTURE AND ANALYSIS -- covers devices for the detection of cells of interest, including circulating tumor cells (CTCs), that are shed into the bloodstream by solid tumors where an antibody, or mixture of antibodies, and any solid surface are used for cell capture, detection, and analysis. The patent includes any biological sample type of interest and includes the use of single antibodies or cocktails of antibodies, Biocept said in a statement.

Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCMKTS:NRGOF) says the last of its underground sampling results from the Good Hope mine at the Pamlico project in Nevada, underlines the continuity of gold and silver throughout the workings of the former mine. The project in the US state is home to around 8,000 meters (m) of tunnels scattered throughout the district and 300 adits (entrances) in the old workings but no maps and data.The latest results show oxide gold extending from outcrops at the portal of the 5609 level of the old mine for the entire 51 m length of the level, the firm revealed. Mineralization, as sampled, ranges from five to more than 17 m in width, with an average grade of 1.05 grams gold per metric tonne (g/t) and 11.2 g/t silver, it said."With these final results, we are pleased to see the continuity of gold and silver mineralization throughout the workings at the Good Hope Mine," said Robert Archer, chief executive at Newrange.

EnWave Corporation (CVE:ENW) announced Wednesday it had signed a new royalty-bearing license agreement with an Australian dairy company to use its novel Radiant Energy Vacuum technology. The agreement with KL Ballantyne Pty Ltd, which manufactures dry, condensed, and evaporated dairy products, grants the Melbourne-based company the exclusive right to produce dairy products in Australia. The license is the third such agreement with an Australian company and the fifteenth signed for dairy product processing worldwide, EnWave said in a statement.

PreveCeutical Medical Inc (CSE:PREV) (OTCMKTS: PRVCF) said that after infusing CBD with its flagship Sol-gel technology and developing water-based cannabis extract-infused soluble gel formulations, it has successfully completed a preliminary safety evaluation of CBD Sol-gel formulations in ex vivo human nasal mucosal tissue. In a statement, the Canadian health-sciences company said that over a five-day analysis period, there was no elevation in "clinically accepted" biomarkers of tissue toxicity. “These results would appear to indicate that the selected CBD Sol-gel formulations that were tested have no acute toxic effects when applied to human nasal mucosal tissue,” said the company. Chief science officer Dr Mak Jawadekar said it gives the company the confidence to conduct further proof of concept studies. 

Aftermath Silver Ltd (CVE:AAG) (OCTMKTS:AAGF), a junior exploration company with silver interests in Chile, on Wednesday said its OTCQB trading symbol has changed from FLMZF to AAGF. The stock started trading under the new symbol on Tuesday while the company's other stock will continue to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture under the symbol AAG. In a statement, Vancouver-based Aftermath said the OTC Market will provide it with a dealer market in the US that will provide easier access for US-based investors and shareholders. It joined the market in November. Meanwhile, Aftermath said it is currently designing exploration programs for two silver projects in northern Chile.

Ventura Cannabis and Wellness Corp (CSE:VCAN) CEO Chris Heath told shareholders on Wednesday that the cannabis company was proving its mettle amongst its peers thanks to strong organic growth. The CEO’s remarks came as Ventura offered a glimpse into its upcoming results for the period ended November 30 that highlighted a 23% increase in quarter-over-quarter revenue. Cannabis revenue for the quarter is expected to surpass C$490,000 as compared to C$402,000 last quarter, according to Ventura.

Helix Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:HLIX) has successfully launched its cannabis sales tracking system in Illinois, processing more than $3.2 million in transactions on the state’s first day of legal sales. The Denver-based company’s Biotrack system processed the sale of more than 70,000 items on the first day, which ballooned to 750,000 — some $11 million — by the end of the first week.

BevCanna Enterprises Inc (CSE:BEV) (OTCMKTS:BVNNF), a manufacturer of cannabis-infused beverages, said chief commercialization officer Emma Andrews will be featured at this week's Lift & Co Expo, sharing insights into the infused cannabis beverage category and consumer. The three-day conference starts on Thursday at the Vancouver Convention Centre and will ignite discussions around the medical and recreational use cannabis markets. "BevCanna has conducted significant research into the way Canadians want to enjoy their cannabis and infused beverages in social settings to relax and unwind,” said Andrews. “Addressing health concerns are at the top of the list." BevCanna Enterprises stock rose 7.14% to US$0.30 on the OTC Markets and was trading at C$0.36 in Toronto.

Analysts at Noble Capital Markets reiterated an Outperform rating and an $11 price target for Dyadic International Inc (NASDAQ:DYAI), citing a belief in the company’s proprietary C1 enzyme production platform in a recent analyst note.“We continue to believe in C1 technology's potential in biologics manufacturing, which has been further validated by the recent expansion of ongoing research collaborations,” Noble wrote. “We think various partnerships and collaborations, in addition to in-house efforts, will continue to generate data proving C1 expression system's value in the biologics market, which is expected to reach over $300 billion by 2022.”

Metalla Royalty & Streaming Ltd (CVE:MTA) (NYSEAMERICAN:MTA) has announced that its common shares commence trading on the NYSE American, LLC ("NYSE American") at Wednesday’s market open today under ticker symbol MTA. Metalla's common shares will continue to trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker symbol MTA. Also, Metalla's common shares will cease trading on the OTCQB. While shareholders are not required to take any action, Metalla recommends that holders who bought their shares on the OTCQB monitor their institution/brokerage account to ensure their holdings are correctly reflected in respect of the listing on the NYSE American, which may take up to two weeks for some brokerage accounts.

Miner RNC Minerals Corp (TSE:RNX) recorded better-than-expected gold production for the second half of last year, as it told investors that the wildfires were not expected to have any material impact on first-quarter output from its operations in Western Australia. The firm has seen record consolidated gold production since it acquired the HGO mine and mill at its Beta Hunt and Higginsville mines last summer.

Medallion Resources Limited (CVE:MDL) (OTCMKTS:MLLOF) continues to advance its plans to produce magnet metals and has hired international engineer Stantec to find a site in the US for its rare-earth element (REE) extraction plant. The firm aims to produce rare-earth elements through the processing of monazite tailing streams using feedstock sourced from the southeast of the US. The plant’s output will be rich in Neodymium and Praseodymium (NdPr), which are essential for the magnets that power the motors in electric vehicles (EVs), defense applications, and other clean technologies.

Security Devices International Inc (OTCMKTS:SDEV) (CSE:SDZ) said Wednesday that it had made some key changes in its finance department by elevating controller Jim Dunfey to the position of chief accounting officer. In a statement, the Wakefield, Massachusetts, company which makes the bestselling non-lethal Byrna security device, said 56-year-old Dunfey assumed his new responsibilities from December 31, 2019. 

Royal Road Minerals Limited (CVE:RYR) (OTCMKTS:RRDMF) has tapped founding director Vernon Arseneau to serve as its new chief operations officer and executive director.   Arseneau, a geologist of 30 years, co-founded Royal Road back in 2010. He began his career working on gold and base metals exploration in Quebec, where he played a crucial role in the development of the 1.5 million-ounce Beauchemin gold mine, and he went on to spend more than 20 years serving in senior positions in Canada and South America, with the mining company Noranda Inc.

CB2 Insights Inc (CSE:CBII) (OTCMKTS:CBIIF) CEO Prad Sekar told shareholders Wednesday that the cannabis analytics company is on track to be profitable by its fiscal second-quarter 2020. The company’s focus on execution allowed it to achieve solid revenue growth since going public in March 2019, according to Sekar. 

Ximen Mining Corp (CVE:XIM) said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation with respect to the final tranche of a non-brokered private placement, announced on December 6, and December 23, 2019. which will see the issue of 468,500 shares at a price of 30 cents per share, plus 468,500 share purchase warrants at an exercise price of 45 cents for an 18-month period, with two placees.

Fura Gems Inc (CVE:FURA) said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing an option agreement between the company and Richland Resources Ltd., whereby it has acquired Richland's 100% interest in the Capricorn Sapphire mining project located in Queensland, Australia, for a consideration of US$1.25mln and C$25,000 in cash.
