True Leaf Brands Inc (CSE:MJ), the global cannabis and hemp wellness brand for pets, said Monday that there were "no material changes" that would account for the recent share price rise of the company. 

Shares in the firm had surged around 83% over the last five trading days. 

They closed on Friday in Toronto at C$0.22.

In a brief statement, the firm said, at the request of the IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada), that it "would like to clarify the company is at full disclosure and there are no material changes which are generating recent activity. The company believes this activity can be traced to a mistaken reference to True Leaf and its trading symbol in a U.S.-based news story".
