Empower Clinics Inc (CSE:CBDT) (OTCMKTS: EPWCF) saw triple-digit increases in patient visits during the fourth quarter of 2019, the company said Wednesday.
Patient visits to corporate clinics increased by 351% over the quarter compared to the same period a year ago, with total visits coming in at just over 4,600.
The new numbers indicate strong, consistent year-over-year growth in patient traffic in each of the months of October, November and December 2019, Empower told shareholders.
CEO Steven McAuley said he “continues to be impressed” with the operational excellence that Empower’s team provides patients.
"Having strong year-over-year patient growth, supported by our use of technology and optimized standard operating procedures (SOP's), ensures our clinics operate with positive free cash flow,” McAuley said in a statement.
The Vancouver-based company is a leading operator of a network of wellness clinics throughout the US that are geared towards helping patients improve and protect their health through physician-recommended treatment options such as cannabidiol.
The firm also produces a proprietary line of CBD-based products distributed throughout the US.
Empower also said Wednesday that it has granted an aggregate of 870,000 stock options to certain employees and contractors. Each option is comprised of one share priced at C$0.04 and subject to a four-month holding period.
