RNC Minerals Corp (TSE:RNX) announced Monday that mining-industry veteran Barry Dahl has been appointed chief financial officer.
"I am pleased to welcome Barry Dahl to the RNC team. Barry is a seasoned CFO in the mining sector, with over 30 years of accounting and finance experience,” said CEO Paul Andre Huet in a statement.
“Barry and I spent five years together building Klondex Mines Ltd. I am very excited to be able to leverage his experience in the mining sector, and specifically with a growing gold producer, at RNC Minerals.”
Huet also noted that Tim Hollaar, the company’s former CFO, will assume the role of vice president, finance and “will continue to be a core member of our corporate finance team."
Most recently, Dahl was the CFO of Excelsior Mining Corp (TSE:MIN). Prior to that, he spent five years as the CFO of Klondex Mines after serving as CFO of Argonaut Gold.
While at Klondex Mines, he was instrumental in various equity financings, negotiating royalty and streaming contracts, and establishing lines of credit with major banks.
Dahl is a CPA and earned an MBA with distinction from the New York Institute of Technology and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
