Pure Gold Mining Inc (CVE:PGM) (LSE:PUR) said Friday that development at its Red Lake mine project in Ontario is continuing as normal amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Vancouver-based company is building the high-grade Pure Gold Red Lake Mine, which is targeting first gold production in late 2020.
The firm said it has implemented preventative measures at the site as well as in its corporate offices to safeguard the health of its employees and ensure operations continue effectively.
“Ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate is our highest priority,” said Darin Labrenz, Pure Gold’s CEO.
“Though there have been no confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 in Red Lake, we are implementing various precautionary measures aimed at reducing the risk of transmission and enabling our development and construction activities to continue as efficiently as possible.”
The junior told shareholders that it will continue to closely monitor the outbreak and adjust its plans as necessary, with its priority being on the health and safety of the company’s employees.
