GR Silver Mining Ltd (CVE:GSRL) (OTCQB:GLYXF) reported high grade silver intercepts as a result of recent drilling at its Plomosas silver project in Mexico. The results from the San Juan target area on the property include 3.5 metres at 1,419 grams per ton silver and 15.5 grams per ton gold, which represents 2,930 grams per ton silver equivalent. The intercept represents a new near-surface mineralized system sub-parallel to similar mineralization found as a result of sampling of the San Juan underground workings, which returned up to 6,128 grams per ton (g/t) silver over 0.2 metres.
It also confirmed that mineralization extended up to 300 metres down dip from the same recent samples at San Juan.
Algernon Pharmaceuticals Inc (CSE:AGN) (OTCQB:AGNPF) said Monday it has received positive feedback from the US Food and Drug Administration regarding the company's plans to conduct a phase 2 COVID-19 clinical trial using its repurposed drug NP-120, known as Ifenprodil. Based on the feedback, the company said it plans to submit, as soon as possible, an investigational new drug (IND) application to the FDA to conduct a phase 2 clinical trial with Ifenprodil as a therapy for patients who experience respiratory complications as a result of contracting the coronavirus. The Toronto-based miner produced a consolidated 25,677 saleable ounces of gold equivalent in its first quarter, up from the 21,940 ounces produced during the same three-month period a year ago. Overall, the production increase was propelled by the high-grade Youle vein at Costerfield in Australia, which saw gold production lift by 36% and antimony increase by 62% compared to the most recent quarter.

Orgenesis Inc (NASDAQ:ORGS) has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Tamir Biotechnology Inc — including its broad-spectrum anti-viral platform ranpirnase. The acquisition will be completed for total stock and cash consideration valued at about $19 million based on the value of the stock at closing, according to a statement. Orgenesis said it plans to combine ranpirnase with its co-developed Bioxome technology for enhanced payload delivery directly to cells.
Biocept Inc (NASDAQ: BIOC), a molecular diagnostics company, announced that it has verified a coronavirus (COVID-19) molecular diagnostic test, and plans to begin accepting physician-ordered testing requests for processing beginning on April 15. The San Diego company said that it has partnered with a national clinician network to accept patient samples and may obtain additional agreements as test capacity increased. Biocept operates a high-complexity, CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited and BSL-2 safety level laboratory in San Diego, with specialized, licensed molecular “lab staff that have been trained in performing the COVID-19 testing,” said the company.
