LeanLife Health Inc (CSE:LLP) said Wednesday that it has struck a commission sales agreement with Rob Hatch, granting him exclusive rights to sell the company’s products in Canada and the United States.

Vancouver-based LeanLife has developed a patented process to isolate Omega-3 fatty acids from flax (linen) seeds — one of the richest plant sources of this essential fatty acid.

Hatch, acting as an agent, will only earn a success-based commission of 10% on a fixed selling price, which LeanLife will set. He will also receive 200,000 stock options at a rate of C$0.05 per share for a period of two years, said LeanLife.

Hatch has clocked 25 years in the health food industry, mostly in wholesale trade. He has worked in sales, product development, marketing, branding, and sales training for many health companies in Canada and the US. Hatch currently owns a brand management and sales consulting company he started six years ago.

"We are keen to work with Rob. We look forward to his success at LeanLife. The Canadian and the US markets provide a huge immediate and strategic opportunity for LeanLife," said LeanLife CEO Stan Lis.

On April 7, LeanLife said it reached a commission sales agreement with biochemist and health food industry veteren Desmon Yau, granting him the exclusive right to sell LeanLife products in 18 Asian countries.

Meanwhile, LeanLife revealed that former CFO Casey Forward has again been appointed to the top finance job in the company.

“Forward, who was previously CFO from August 2015 to January 2019, is familiar with operations and the development of the product. Welcome back,” said Lis.

Separately, the company appointed Raymond Lin as financial controller. He has 18 years of financial management experience and holds a senior finance management position at Biomed International Products Corp, a leading health supplement product provider in Canada and the US. He oversees financial strategies and customer relationship management functions in Biomed.

LeanLife's products are long-term, shelf-stable extractions from flax seed. The products are available in oil, emulsion and powder forms and can be used as food additives or as nutraceuticals.
