About the company

VR Resources Ltd is an established junior exploration company focused on greenfields opportunities in copper and gold. VR is the continuance of 4 years of active exploration in Nevada by a Vancouver-based private company. The diverse experience and proven track record of its Board in early-stage exploration, discovery and M&A is the foundation of VR. The Company focuses on underexplored, large-footprint mineral systems in the western United States and Canada, and is well financed for its exploration strategies and corporate obligations. VR owns its properties outright, and evaluates new opportunities on an ongoing basis, whether by staking or acquisition.

How it is doing

31 Oct 2023

VR Resources Ltd (TSX-V:VRR, OTCQB:VRRCF) announced that it has sampled widespread, high-grade copper-silver mineralization at its New Boston polymetallic copper-moly-silver porphyry system in Nevada, including grades of 1.65% copper and 12.7 grams per tonne (g/t) silver as well as 1.74% copper with 1,115 g/t silver.

The junior exploration company said it completed a site visit to New Boston to sample stockwork copper-silver veins across the property in order to obtain modern ICP-MS geochemical data spanning the entire four-kilometre breadth of the polymetallic porphyry system and to establish site drill pad locations in the field in order to submit a Notice of Intent drill permit (NOI) application to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

"Conoco branded New Boston as a world class, and perhaps one of the largest known moly systems in the world at the time, during the porphyry exploration boom in western North America during the 1960s and 1970s, before exploration came to a grinding halt in 1981," VR Resources CEO Michael Gunning said in a statement.

"The state-of-the-art geophysics completed by VR in April, with technologies literally not available to Conoco in the 1970s, paints a clear picture for a central porphyry stock target with concentrated vein stockworks of conductive copper sulfide," he added.

VR Resources Ltd (TSX-V:VRR, OTCQB:VRRCF) has expanded the number of claims it holds, covering an array of magnetic anomalies around its Northway kimberlite property and diamond discovery in northern Ontario.

The Northway strategy is now district-scale, as VR owns 1,567 claims in 16 separate claim blocks covering a total of 32,238 hectares.

VR Resources Ltd (TSX-V:VRR, OTCQB:VRRCF) announced that its Spring 2023 drill program intercepted rare earth element critical minerals at its Hecla-Kilmer project in Northern Ontario.

A total of 24 drill holes have been completed at the property to date, with three carried out in the Spring. Two of the three new drill holes returned broad intersections with carbonatite dykes and vein breccia, VR said.

Work on the Nevada portfolio of VR Resources Ltd (CVE:VRR) is continuing unabated, in spite of the added complications of coronavirus.

The company’s chief executive Mike Gunning is a firm believer that core value in a junior mining company is created by discoveries on the ground rather than by subsequent manoeuvres in the markets, and as such the pace of exploration work at VR has always been aggressive.

What management says

23 Aug 2022

VR Resources CEO Michael Gunning joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has arranged a non-brokered private placement for up to 4 million dollars. The company is planning to use the cash to further exploration efforts including more drilling at its Hecla-Kilmer critical metals project in Northern Ontario. Gunning also provided an update on that project where the company has discovered another high-grade zone of critical metals at Hecla-Kilmer. The numbers include 25.5 metres at 1.131 per cent total rare earth oxide with 18 per cent as magnet rare earth oxide within 55.2 metres at 0.7 per cent TREO starting less than 30 metres from bedrock surface.
