CanaFarma Hemp Products expects to launch new acne cream by end of second quarter

CanaFarma Hemp Products Corp (CSE:CNFA) expects to launch a new hemp oil infused cream to combat skin conditions, specifically acne, by the end of the second quarter this year, it told investors.

The company's research and development division has begun developing its newest hemp-oil infused product line for skincare, the firm said in a statement.

"Medical Science is only just beginning to understand the benefits of Hemp Oil and the cannabinoids that it contains," said David Lonsdale, CEO of CanaFarma.

"CanaFarma is committed to delivering quality science-based products targeted towards specific benefits to the consumer. I am delighted to be announcing our Acne Cream and look forward to it being available to our customers."

Acne Vulgaris affects between 79% and 95% of the adolescent population, the firm noted, while for the over 25s between 40%  and 54% have some degree of facial acne. The psychological issues arising from Acne are serious and often damaging.

CanaFarma said it had been developing the formulation together with Carl Germano, CNS, CDN, who is a New York board certified clinical nutritionist and expert in cannabinoid product development. He is also Vice-President of Verdant Oasis, a leading grower, extractor, and supplier of cannabinoid rich-hemp oil.
