NexTech AR Solutions Corp (CSE:NTAR) (OTCQB:NEXCF) has inked a contract to provide its web-based augmented reality (WebAR) technology solutions to O2 Canada, a supplier of medical grade silicone sealed face masks which have a reusable filter that can last up to two weeks.
The Toronto-based augmented reality specialist will initially supply O2 Canada with its advanced cross-platform cross-browser WebAR solutions.
In a statement, NexTech AR Solutions CEO Evan Gappelberg said the company was “excited” to sign up O2 Canada to its Web AR platform enabling them to showcase their products in rich, photo realistic 3D/AR.
“The 3D/AR models are viewable on the company's website. Our multiple business segments; AR ecommerce, InfernoAR and our 3D/AR ad network are firing on all cylinders as we are continuing to execute on our stated business plan of signing up early adopters in AR and then moving them through our product offerings which includes; WebAR, AR for virtual conferences, training and education and AR for 3D advertising,” Gappelberg added.
“Our rapidly expanding list of customers are excited to join us as first movers in the fast-growing augmented reality and virtual events markets which are part of the work from home (WFH) shop from home (SFH) paradigm shift which is tilting the entire world toward our technology.”
On June 10, NexTexch signed a partner agreement and contract to provide its InfernoAR Virtual Events platform services to Skybridge World Dubai clients. Skybridge is a leading events and marketing solutions provider to global companies like Emirates Glass, IBM, Lilly, Henkel, Amgen and many others. NexTech and Skybridge have already solidified their partnership and signed up their first customer, Bohringer Ingelheim.
NexTech, based in Toronto, is currently pursuing the use of its augmented reality technology across four key verticals: e-commerce, education, entertainment and advertising. The AR industry is estimated to hit $120 billion by 2022.
