Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR) has received approval for its Notice of Work from the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (EMPR) - paving the way for a maiden drilling program at the Blackdome-Elizabeth Gold Project in Canada.
This program comprises around 8,500 metres of diamond drilling aimed at verifying and expanding upon the historic high-grade NI 43-101 mineral resources at the Blackdome and Elizabeth sectors of the project.
The company’s drilling contractor expects to begin mobilising equipment to Blackdome next week with the drilling and trenching programs expected to run until at least October.
Historical mineral resource
The company is focused on rapidly verifying and expanding the historical high-grade mineral resource at the project by drilling extensions to existing mineralisation and other high-priority targets within the 350 square kilometre licence area, which remains relatively unexplored.
Tempus also intends to leverage the existing permitted mill, tailings dam and other infrastructure at Blackdome with the aim of re-commencing production as the project proceeds.
Shares have been as much as 12% higher to $A0.38 intra-day.
Listing on TSX Venture Exchange
Given the company’s focus on projects in Canada and Ecuador, the planned listing on the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada is being rapidly progressed.
The required initial application has been submitted and the company is targeting listing in quarter four of 2020.
