Askott Entertainment will leverage its partner’s license infrastructure by enabling GameCo to become an official reseller of the Chameleon e-Sports betting platform to US casino operators

FansUnite Entertainment Inc (CSE:FANS) (OTCPINK:FUNFF), a provider of online gaming technology, announced on Wednesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary Askott Entertainment has signed a partnership agreement with Las Vegas-based GameCo LLC, a pioneer in skill-based iGaming products.

The Vancouver-based group said the partnership will introduce Askott Entertainment’s e-Sports iGaming platform, Chameleon, to the regulated market in the United States.

GameCo holds US gaming licenses in nearly 30 jurisdictions including New Jersey and Nevada. Askott Entertainment will leverage its partner’s license infrastructure by enabling GameCo to become an official reseller of the Chameleon e-Sports betting platform to new and existing partners which will include US-based casino operators.

FansUnite said that the partnership agreement will give the combined group an “early mover advantage” in the US e-Sports iGaming market. As the US is one the “most active” gambling markets globally, having a presence in America is “an integral part of the FansUnite strategy,” the company added.

"With this newly launched partnership, we are able to showcase our turn-key white label iGaming solution while officially launching our technology into the burgeoning US gaming market," FansUnite Entertainment CEO Scott Burton said in a statement.

"We are aware of the sizable market that the US presents, and understand that e-Sports is a key component to any traditional sportsbooks future betting offering. This partnership with GameCo is a significant inflection point for FansUnite and accelerates our plans to enter the US market by at least 6-to-12 months," he added.

GameCo co-founder and CEO Blaine Graboyes noted that GameCo invented the category of skill-based video game gambling.

“We intend to carry our market leadership position in the US regulated market and provide the industry's leading turkey, outsourced solution for casinos and sportsbooks to offer esports betting," Graboyes added.

"Skill-based games and e-Sports betting are one of the few growth opportunities in the US and we believe Askott provides the most capable and innovative platform for offering iGaming and e-Sports betting."

According to ESPN, more than $20 billion has been bet with US sportsbooks since the Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 on May 14, 2018. The federal statute, commonly referred to as PASPA, had restricted regulated sports betting to primarily Nevada for 26 years, before being ruled unconstitutional.
