Predictiv AI and Sigfox Canada strike a global sales channel and tech integration partnership for ThermalPass
Predictiv AI CEO Michael Lende said the company is "very excited" to partner with Sigfox Canada to provide a more "robust and flexible fever detection device which will help more customers around the world combat the spread of coronavirus"

Predictiv AI Inc (CVE:PAI) (OTCMKTS:INOTD), a software and solutions provider in the artificial intelligence (AI) and industrial IoT markets, said Friday that it has struck a sales channel, distribution and technology integration partnership for Predictiv’s ThermalPass, an AI-enabled, thermal sensor temperature screening system with Sigfox Canada, to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Sigfox, the world's leading Internet of Things service provider, has a secure platform for connecting IoT devices, working as a wireless carrier for everyday items.

Toronto-based Predictiv AI said the agreement allows Predictiv AI and Sigfox Canada to collaborate on integrating Sigfox connectivity into ThermalPass. This will enable dependable data transfer through ThermalPass at low cost on the Sigfox Canada network. This “enhanced functionality” will position ThermalPass to generate “monthly recurring revenue by offering a multitude of enterprise scenarios,” said the company.

In addition to the tech integration, Sigfox Canada will become a global non-exclusive sales distributor and will promote ThermalPass to other Sigfox operators in over 70 countries.

ThermalPass was developed to combat the spread of COVID-19 and other contagions in high-traffic locations like supermarkets, drugstores, schools, office complexes, movie theaters, sports arenas and more.

The Sigfox global 0G network has more than 16 million registered devices on the network, communicating close to one billion messages a month.

"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Predictiv AI and to have the Sigfox 0G Network connectivity built into ThermalPass. The world is changing quickly and creating a safe environment where people gather will be critical to ensuring peace of mind for individuals,” said Sigfox Canada CEO Kent Rawlings.

"The ability to accurately capture an individual's temperature and communicate that information in real-time using the Sigfox Canada 0G Network will be a key step in the new era of safety. We look forward to distributing ThermalPass as another offering in our Smart Building solutions portfolio, and ensuring the other 70 countries, who are part of the Global 0G Network using Sigfox technology, are aware of this great solution and are able to distribute ThermalPass as well."

Sigfox is the operator of the global Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN), whose chips are used in 16.2 million registered devices across 70 countries. The company has built the largest IoT ecosystem in the world, from big manufacturers to hundreds of startups and device-makers on four continents.

According to the firm, the Sigfox/ThermalPass platform will be of interest to organizations that require the “capabilities and privacy” that ThermalPass offers, but “in low power configuration.”

"The Sigfox Canada sales and distribution channels increase ThermalPass' revenue potential significantly, not only due to their diverse and expansive customer base, but also because Sigfox connectivity technology positions ThermalPass to launch and expand its services and build a monthly recurring revenue model," said Predictiv AI CEO Michael Lende.

"We are very excited to partner with Sigfox Canada so we can provide a more robust and flexible fever detection device which will help more customers around the world combat the spread of coronavirus."
