Hill Street Beverage Company Inc (CVE:BEER) (OTCMKTS:HSEEF) has announced the launch of its new line of cannabis-infused drinks, which are expected to be on sale in stores and on-line in Ontario, Canada in December this year, with a national rollout anticipated early next year.
The (V)ia branded beverages are the work of the firm's Hill Avenue Cannabis Co subsidiary and are created from the same alcohol-free drinks that are available in the group's market-leading and award-winning Vin(Zero) portfolio of products. The firm says they offer the first great-tasting cannabis-infused alternatives to alcohol and are based on world-class fermented and aged grape juice.

"(V)ia SPRIZAs are the first product offerings to be made available under our new Hill Avenue Cannabis Company division," said June Nicholson, Hill Street's chief operating officer (COO) in a statement.
"Our planned portfolio of beverages and other edible cannabis products, and our leading-edge cannabis ingredient offerings, will permit us to leverage our years of experience in the CPG space to bring reliable and great tasting products to both cannabis consumers and manufacturers.
"It is anticipated that (V)ia SPRIZA Blanc and Rose will be available for sale in cannabis stores and on-line in Ontario beginning in December 2020, with a national rollout in early 2021," she added.
(V)ia SPRIZA Blanc is made from airen grapes from the world-renowned La Mancha region of Spain and are used to produce Hill Street's Vin(Zero) Brut Blanc, while (V)ia SPRIZA Rose hails from the shiraz grapes grown in France, and used to produce Hill Street's renowned Shiraz Rose.
Terry Donnelly, Hill Street chairman and CEO, said: "We chose these beverages for our (V)ia brand launch as they closely mirror the formats being purchased in the fastest-growing segments of adult beverages. (V)ia SPRIZAs are the ideal cannabis-infused beverage for any occasion."
The firm noted that each (V)ia SPRIZA contains less than 30 calories per 150ml serving.
Hill Avenue Cannabis Co is currently constructing a cannabis processing facility to produce ingredients for Cannabis 2.0 edible and topical products including infused beverages, drink mixes, tablets, capsules, chocolates, candies, meat, fish, dairy, eggs, sugars, spices, herbs, coffee, tea, and other oral or topical applications of cannabis and hemp extracts, the firm also said in the statement.
