About the company

TomaGold Corporation is a Canadian mineral exploration corporation engaged in the acquisition, assessment, exploration and development of gold mineral properties.

The company has interests in five gold properties near the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec: Obalski, Monster Lake East, Monster Lake West, Hazeur and Lac Doda. It also participates in a joint venture with Evolution Mining Ltd. and New Gold Inc., through which it holds a 24.5% interest in the Baird property, near the Red Lake mining camp in Ontario.

TomaGold Corp (TSX-V:LOT) said it has closed the first tranche of $974,125 of a non-brokered private placement of up to $2,000,000.

The private placement comprises common shares in the capital of the corporation issued on a flow-through (FT) basis at a price of $0.055 and units of the corporation at a price of $0.05 each. Each unit is comprised of one common share and one-half of one common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one common share of the corporation at a price of $0.075 for a period of 24 months from its issuance.

Under the first tranche, the corporation issued 15,420,455 FT shares for gross proceeds of $848,125, and 2,520,000 units for gross proceeds of $126,000.

The company said it will use the proceeds of the private placement for general exploration and working capital, and the proceeds raised from the sale of the FT shares will be used for eligible flow-through expenditures.

TomaGold Corporation announced that it has acquired 96 map-designated claims covering an area of 4,962.6 hectares, about 15 kilometres south of its recently-acquired claims in James Bay region of Quebec.  

The mineral exploration company said the property, which will be known as Star Lake, has been the subject of geophysical surveys that have identified six rare earth element showings.

TomaGold Corporation revealed that it has entered the lithium space, acquiring 107 claims in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada.

The group said it has bought 38 claims from Noranda Royalties for C$60,000 in cash, along with 69 further map-designated claims covering a total area of 5,487.52 hectares (Ha).

TomaGold Corp (TSX-V:LOT) CEO David Grondin talks to Proactive about the first set of drill results from its initial phase of an 11,500-metre program on its Obalski property in Quebec. Grondin says highlights from the results include 1.41 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 28.5 metres (m), including 6.84 g/t gold over 1.5m and 4.03 g/t gold over 4.5m. Grondin says “much larger gold structures than were previously known” were discovered during the first round of drilling, adding that the structures appear to be widening at depth.
