Fury Gold Mines Limited (TSE:FURY) (NYSEAMERICAN:FURY) (FRA:AUN1) has named Salisha Ilyas as its first vice president of investor relations, effective immediately, the company announced after the close Wednesday.
Ilyas was the founder and principal consultant at Target IR & Communications, a full-service investor relations (IR) firm focused on providing advisory and communications support to junior mining companies.
She brings more than 10 years of experience in the mining industry, having also worked for Canadian and international mining companies, including Petra Diamonds Ltd (LON:PDL) (FRA:FPO), Desert Lion Energy, Aura Minerals Inc (TSE:ORA) (OTCMKTS:ARMZF) and Champion Iron Mines.

"Salisha's main focus will be to broaden our market outreach and to execute our ongoing investor programs, which support the company's aggressive growth strategies. With an enhanced communications platform, we will improve connections to existing and new shareholder groups, ensure easy and open communications with neighbouring communities and provide the market with greater ease of access to management."
Fury Gold also announced that Timmins will participate in the BMO Capital Markets Global Metals & Mining Conference, held virtually March 1-5. The presentation will be posted on furygoldmines.com.
The conference connects mining companies with institutional funds, private equity groups, family offices and sector analysts.
Fury Gold Mines is a newly established explorer focused on three prolific mining regions in Canada, which aims to advance its multi-million-ounce gold platform.
It came into being following the completion of a deal, which saw junior Auryn Resources Inc (TSE:AUG) reorganize, spin out its Peruvian assets (NYSEAMERICAN:AUG) and acquire Eastmain Resources Inc (TSS:ER).
