CO2 GRO Inc - CO2 GRO demonstrates its commitment to introducing CO2 Delivery Solutions to Mexico’s agriculture market
At the AMHPAC congress, CO2 Gro and Rancho Nexo discussed the benefits of CO2 Delivery Solutions with operators of greenhouses, especially tomato greenhouse growers

CO2 GRO Inc (TSX-V:GROW, OTCQB:BLONF) said it demonstrated its commitment to introducing CO2 Delivery Solutions to Mexico’s large agriculture market by participating in two-back-to conferences and joining the Asociación Mexicana de Horticultura Protegida (AMHPAC) annual congress.

The Toronto-based company’s CO2 Delivery Solutions technology is revolutionizing the global 600 billion square foot protected agriculture industry. It creates a saturated CO2 solution that when misted onto plants provides growers that cannot gas with CO2 the opportunity to increase plant yields by up to 30% and profits by up to 100%.

Applying saturated CO2 also suppresses the development of pathogens such as E.coli and powdery mildew, helping to reduce crop losses.

CO2 GRO participated in the GreenTech Americas conference, modelled after Greentech NL, held at the Centro de Congresos Queretaro, in Mexico from August 24 to 26. The company said it was the first GreenTech conference in Mexico as the inaugural event in 2020 was postponed due to coronavirus (COVID-19).

The company's Mexico marketing and sales partner Rancho Nexo batted for CO2 Gro. Rancho Nexo's Sergio Hernandez, who is the head of sales and distribution, Nevid Meza, who is the head of technology transfer and Humberto Mayorga, the head of agribusiness met with Mexican growers and potential sub-distributors.

CO2 Gro and Rancho Nexo personnel then exhibited the CO2 Delivery Solutions technology at the AMHPAC congress in Los Cabos, Mexico from September 1 to 3. Attendance was restricted to the 400 AMHPAC members, including CO2 Gro which recently joined the association.

“Having attended the GreenTech Americas conference the previous week, this provided for deeper dialogues as a number of the same potential customers were at both the GreenTech Americas conference and AMHPAC congress,” said the company.

In a statement, Aaron Archibald, who is the VP of sales and strategic alliances at CO2 Gro, said: "Being physically present at two back-to-back conferences in Mexico, and joining AMHPAC, demonstrates our commitment to introducing CO2 Delivery Solutions to Mexico's 6 billion square foot protected agriculture market.”

“AMHPAC members represent the majority of Mexico's vegetable exports with tomatoes being by far the largest. With announced tomato commercial feasibilities in Canada (Prism Farms, Leamington, Ontario and The Cucumber Man, Alberta), the UK (La Serra and unnamed) and most recently in the EU (unnamed), we are gaining credibility with international tomato greenhouse growers and look forward to announcing projects in Mexico in the near future."

At AMHPAC, CO2 Gro and Rancho Nexo discussed the benefits of CO2 Delivery Solutions with decision makers and greenhouse operators. Greenhouse growers obtained a new understanding of how CO2 can be delivered to their plants using the firm’s CO2 Delivery Solutions technology despite their greenhouses being located in a climate that makes traditional atmospheric CO2 enrichment (also known as gassing) difficult.

“Greenhouse growers showed interest in the technology for its benefits ranging from increasing yields and revenue, lowering overall marginal costs, increasing profitability, flexible commercial options, and being able to reduce their greenhouse operations' ecological footprint,” said the company.

CO2 Gro said it following up with potential Mexican customers.
